A typical Saturday and a very untypical us. Received an sms from Mei a few days ago asking us if we wanted to do something meaningful for the weekend. Since I had nothing better to do, I agreed. It turned out to be some volunteering thing to accompany some kids to watch a movie and then lunch at Mac. Of course, these kids are not your typical spoilt brats. They're from different background with some issues. (Which we better not reveal the place or say due to confidentiality reasons.)
Since Jo has nothing to do too, I asked her along and Ta-Dah, at 930am on a Saturday, Me,Mei and Jo went to spend time with kids. It's a miracle all of us turned up early and on time and I must say, we really stepped out of our comfort zone this time. Guess those who know me well enough will also know that kids and me = Big no no. I hate kids. (Except for Edda and a few) So,this is sort of a challenging event as well for us.
Overall, I would say the experience is a good one. Spending one to one time with a kid and making their day a memorable one. At least we're doing something significant. The movie "Surf up" really isn't my cup of tea though. But I would say this experience really opens up my world. Like make us see how fortunate we are and our problems are mainly a teeny bit as compared to those kids.
Anyway,we ended up at the library after the program for some time. (Long long story...) The whole morning was like being back in kindergarden. Eating Happy Meal and all that. Lol.

The book says,"There's a Nightmare in my closet". What a title. Reminisce of those childhood days where we read all the funny crappy books.
"Wah lao, why the heck are we still stuck here?"

As usual, you can see our dear jojo dozing off. Sleep whole day or lack of sleep also dozing off.
"What?! You talking bad about me! Smack your butt."
"Hm! Why the kid got Happy meal? I don't have?"
"Got Balloon! I shall steal it first Hehehe!"
TMM Ps us to meet Jason after this program so we headed off to watch "The girl who leapt through time" with Perch and Yuki. Super Nice!! But we missed out a few minutes of the show in the beginning cos we were happily snacking at HK cafe.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could leap through time as well? Leap back into the past to amend some things, alter some memories, reenact those wonderful moments we enjoyed. But of course, all these happens in animes and probably Harry Potter.

Pardon my excitement but can we watch it before we leave for Taiwan or Thailand?
After watching the movie, we happily partied at K-Box again and feast our hearts out again with the buffet. No Salmon sashimi. Sobs! Approximately $33/pax to sing and feast. Not a bad bargain considering we are gluttons.
