i've tasted it and now im suffering the effects. i should recognize my boundaries and stick to it again. i was just counting and recalling what i did over the past week that caused my low immune system and now sick! well, i actually did a lot of things. From tuesday to sunday i was out everyday and even went for a run on friday before dinner in the chilly spore weather. 1 week later, it struck me! im not a robot, just another human and i can fall sick. i guess i was trying to fulfill all my appointments and simply wanting to spend less time alone at home.
however so, i did have a fun time with all my friends incl. a double dose birthday dinner last week.
our so called pub crawl night was totally horrendous and shall not do it again any time soon. its firstly, unhealthy, secondly dangerous for 3 girls to be doing that. HAHA. im saying this only in my sober state. mei n jen had to literally drag me and walk to the taxi stand as i was unwilling to go home yet. dont try being funny with me in that state i m still v smart and cant get duped by all ye cranks to bring me somewhere!
on that very friday i also went up to holland Vill to meet a friend(burb'y) for lunch - my second time eating nasi lemak in soph's 22 years of life on this earth. hmm. i just used to dislike the coconut aroma from the rice....after which we coffee-d chatted away grumbling about our current state - that is work and life! i've got so much more i want to achieve before i reach a certain age and with my current state in life i seem not to be heading any where near there yet.
still, im happy that i have a friend who seems to be very similar with me in searching our life goals!
thursday i dashed out of the office with excitement that it was the end of work week! dined out with a friend, slacked at cafe cartel nearly ordered the 8 scoop sundae if not for my mistake in the order # whilst i wrote on the order sheet. *secretly delighted that i didnt have to share that 8 scoops of overloaded ice cream. heheh. then played pool at meridien, feeling so out of place as the other ppl there were teens and we were there in formal work clothes. still, worth the $10.80 for an hour on the eve of a public holiday.
sunday was madness! celebrated Easter Sunday at church, followed by celebration lunch there. i considered it madness coz after lunch 4 of us left and headed down to parkway.my great suggestion to walk down to big splash and try the coffee at this new coffee place there. to my horror, it was packed and we had to wait for about 45 min? wasting no time, we walked off and back to parkway again! i wasnt complaining of the distance for the fact that we had to walk back again. Though i had to admit it was a little humid with the dark overhead clouds. however, we had a 'live' broken radio tuned on to the oldies chinese channel in our midst! such pure entertainment with his unwillingness to walk anymore. that wasnt the end of our adventure trail as we reached marine parade. With the thought of trying out karaoke at katong shopping centre, we walked across the bridge and down the bridge and crossing roads just to reach there. Ended up with another disappointment - no rooms avail. by that time, from broken radio mandarin channel had been re-tuned to a thai-eng channel on a talkshow wif me in da house! the rest were superbly entertained and our pleasure being entertainers! we finally ended up at katong's hk cafe......'made' a thai fren - Khun Toi
back to my daily life: currently reading a book on boundaries. tough to understand! its scientific to the extent that its like studying organisational behaviour.
was typing this post while job hunting again - God bless me and all of u!
