Shady Ship Expedition

Firstly, I would like to clear my name, I went for the shady ship was due to pure curiousity not because I aunty. I haven't reach that level yet. Anyway below is the description of the Shady Ship Expedition (really eye opener).

26 August 2008 (Tuesday)

6:30am - woke up

7:30am- reached Bedok MRT station to meet the rest of my aunties

8:20am- reached Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal

8:35am- boarded boat to batam jetty

9:00am - reached batam jetty and boarded another boat

9:45am- boarded shady ship (shady ship was park in the middle of the sea, then we cross over)

11:00am- ate buffet breakfast (the food was OMG! the water had chemical taste, maybe take from the sea, the pickle can caused instant gastric pain. Could felt the ship was rocking abit.)

The rest of the time we went around taking picutres and we were so excited that the ship has other facilities (mahjong table to rent, massage, suana) but the charges for mahjong table was so expensive $80 for 1 round and there was only one massager, the other massager was on leave. On average the passenger on board were around 50 yrs old and above and they believe in high risk high return theory. Most of them were regulars, they know when to take out the boarding pass, when to take out the passport.....

The boat to batam jetty. The boat not stable and quite stuffy, I had sea sick. Wonder how our ancestors traveled in this kind of boat (even much more worse condition) for a month.

Nothing to do in the boat besides taking picture and eat zai mee fen

In the shady ship. The ship has 8 decks but each flight of stairs is only 5 steps (as you can see from the picture). Before u know it, at deck 6 you climb 10 steps and you reach deck 8.

We were not allowed to take pictures in other parts of the ship

At first we wanted to play Jackp*t, we saw 2 cents per game, then we thought "WAO! so cheap! let's try, just tong the 2 cents coin" in the end, you must buy a cash card to deposit $10, which means is a sure loose $10. The jackp*t require skills, don't quite understand, you can bet 1 line or 25 lines. Even we play the black jack during CNY at most 40 cents. $10 I might as well eat sashimi.

5:30pm - buffet dinner (the vegetable was boiled with no garlic and sauce, I thought i was eating grass, the bee hoon tasted like bleach rubber band, even I am those we do not mind low grade dim sum and not fussy about food quality also can't accept the food served on board. Those aunties actually cut queue and snatch the food)

6:45pm- took boat to batam jetty

7:00pm- took another boat to tenah merah terminal (felt sea sick so didn't take pictures)

8:20pm- home sweet home

It was really an eye opener, whatever you see on those HK du wang show can be seen on the shady ship. But once is enough.
